The animation and style of that was really cool.

Agreed. Good animation and audio there. As for the content of that...

Pretty much. He should really make some more movies.

Heh, well, I dislike Bush as much as the next guy. But seriously, sometimes people come up with theories and claims that are way out there. And while this vid made me laugh for awhile, I can't in all honesty take it seriously.

So, sure, lets come back in 4-8 and see who's wearing the tinfoil hat :p

the correct syntax is !=
but thats beside the point.

and i think thats a pretty good message to take away, but another good one, one that youll have to discern for yourself is this: America [or Bush, or Americans] != fascism either.

I don't think there is a good word for what the Bush administration, and what it represents, is. They call their enemy islamofascists. The hardcore zionsists in the administration could just as well be called judeofascists. That would make the Bush adminstration a mixture of judeofascists and puritanofascists (from the Puritan influence).

But imo the word fascism is too burdened with old and dated 20th century history to be accurate in this day and age. Especially when applied to a highly complex and multifaceted hyperpower. Having said that there definitely are aspects of the Bush administration and it's policies that are fascist, even in the old sense of right wing authoritarianism. Out of islamofascism, judeofascism and the American fascism the American fascism is the one closest to real fascism with it's unholy marriage between the capitalists, the politicians and the military. And now the Theocrats want a piece of the pie. Lovely.

Fascism == the merger of state and corporate power, and American politics have been working in direction for quite some time.

Stick the PNAC in as the actual source of the 9/11 attacks and you have yourself a real conspiracy theory. If that were true, then I'd be really worried.

Agreed, with clarification.

But as the video said it is not bush nor the government that is condoning the fascism, as the narrator says "he is merely the figurehead". More often than not Bush, as with past presidents, is simply listening to his advisors and expected to make a decision in the best interests of the nation. As you and I can probably attest to we have all been in situations where many people have tried to push us one way or another when making a decision. In these situations we have all seen these people, friends, relatives, and significant others who try to push us one way or another and tell us it is thier way of advising us. We all have witnessed others and ourselves in this type of situation and how some succumb to it and how some have not. In Bush's sense I see him as sometimes succumbing to it and sometimes he is not. I don't envy him... I pity him, because what ever happens and whatever has happened history will make darn sure lands squarly on his shoulders. Even if he was simply a glorified decision maker with no real totalitarian power.

My other point is the video says this fascism is not a politically sponsored and created fascism, it is a corporate backed one that is playing on these things:

1. Americans are highly patriotic to their nation but skeptical at best of any other nation's motives and intents towards America. If you disagree and are not insulted by this then good for you. For those who are try to actively see it from Europe's perspective. Case in point: Notice how the american populous took to french bashing when the French came out against our invasion of Iraq. None of those who did these things even bothered to ask why the French our long time ally, benefactor of the Statue of Liberty, and who's political minds were the inspiration for democracy itself, would step in our way to do this. No we simply were satisfied to hate and deny, and we still are in many of a sense.

2. We as Americans, other than protest and rioting not that this is even effective, do not have any direct way, i.e. federal level recall system, of removing elected and appointed officials who may be gaming the system in such a way that promotes examples like the one presented in the video. In other words we have no direct recall procedures on our elected officials and those appointed to make decisions for us after we elect them or they are appointed. I am talking in the sense of the ENTIRE federal government because in this day and age it is becoming increasingly easier for corporations with limitless resources and capital to game the system to their advantage. To put it philisophically, when an American with $500 in savings has less of a voice than another American with $1,000,000 in the bank you know something is wrong with our nation. This is my point, the government listen's to the loudest $voice$ simply because that is all it can hear when they are surrounded by screaming voices.

3. Our politicians listen to what gets them elected, in other words MONEY. I would gamble, a majority of politicians in Washington who did not get there without accepting big campaign donations from well financed corporations and wealthy donors.

These 3 when taken together and properly manipulated can lead to a nation that can be "similar" in possible perception to Germany circa 1940, except it is not the government that is condoning and extolling fascism, it is the puppet master corporations that are pulling the strings of the government, through bribes and subtle campaign deals/promises which are resulting in these perceived fascist policies. Gaming the government to do these things by assuring corporate sponsored and backed people are put in the right positions and have the right ears to whisper and sometimes force their advice to. Our government is designed to protect the people from corruption that residesand origniates from within the government not from outside corporate corruption, as is the proposed case with this video. The founders of our nation never expected there would be multibillion dollar companies with the ability to buy off political power. So these kinds of protections for the government were never designed into the government in the first place.

Disclaimer: This is what I see from this video. You may disagree. While it hints at a possibility, that is all it can be, a possibility. Until proven true all you and I as American citizens can do is be aware and open to all possibilities. Because that is our obligation and duty as citizens to be aware of the rights and wrongs of our government without loyalty of any kind to any set agenda or preference so that if the time comes we as citizens can be there to keep our nation on track.

Correct, except I don't think the state is even aware of this, as what I perceive as, corporate sponsored fascism. I certainly agree this has been going on for a LOOONG time and this is why it has gone so largly unnoticed. One of the things I am wondering about is if the method of division of labor is being used by coporations to keep our policitians and government officials in the dark and unaware of what is going on. In otherwords the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

Well the PNAC really takes from the Northwoods proposal which was created back during the cuban missle crisis. But I know how intelligent you are so i will not try to tell you what you already know. (No sarcasm intended)

The other day in this very forum, I was asking someone why he thought we should nuke parts of Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. Others here and elsewhere are in full support of raiding and leveling the "Axis of Evil." If you think this video is far from the truth, you are still asleep. We are about to embark on a long nasty road in which there may be no turning back, and alot of people ours and theres are going to be dead at the end of it. We are not spreading democracy out of the kindness of our hearts, it's to clear the way for American-style Capitalism and Free Market. All hail the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR, IT IS AMERICA'S ONLY GOD.
