WWII Reenactments?

Yes, they are. I was looking at some a few weeks ago and they are spread across the country. All I did was google them and some links I found while looking at surplus WWII memoribilia. Let me warn you these guys are SERIOUS and the investment in equipment was unreal. They have some very nice restored weapons, artillery and mechanized units. I never realized the level of authenticity they demand.
Although the entire spectrum of the war fascinates me I am particulary interested in German weaponry and tactics and those are the reenactments I focused on.

No offense meant to any of the people into this stuff but...

A lot of veterans do and would (if they had lived today) take offense at this sort of thing. They might see it as a "mocking". No one in their right mind would like to be in a war. They fought a war so we wouldn't have to see such crap.

But I guess the same can be said about WWII video games. I don't know, just a heads up if you have grandfathers still around who were in the war.

don't see how its possible. unlike more simple wars like civil war, kinda hard to pretend to be tanks/bombers etc. weapons too lethal
