I predict in 3-6 months the WWF is either going to be very dead or very different than what it is now.

They have just been on a downhill ever since they bought WCW, and it's gotten pathetic latley (2.9 rating for Smackdown pathetic).

Is the World Wildlife Foundation why the announcers on Raw keep going on about the WWE <something> Championship and WWE Raw?

It's not some weird Raw/Smackdown separation thing?

Lilian Garcia must have announced "our new WWE <something> champion: <someone>!!!" about 10 times already...like they are trying to get it into the fans heads or something...

So the real WWF has had to stop using WWF altogether because of the Wildlife dorks?

So Wrestling is now officially WWE because of that hmmm?

They need to get out of this "seperate RAW and Smackdown" scheme... it's just stupid....

:) hehe Vince jobs to the panda bear! ahaha

I could care less what they call it, but this is a multi million dollar change. All those years of building up the WWF product and name recognition, all that history, and now they don't even use it. BAD BUSINESS DECISION. I'm glad I'm not a WWF stockholder.

The World Wildlife Fund actually let the WWF use the WWF acronymn (for the website & such) for a very long time but they changed there mind because the WWF's change to 'sports entertainment'. I guess normal joes in underwear beating each other silly is one thing but I guess the sports entertainment thing did not appeal to them

Yeah it sure is. And smackdown just plain sucks. Raw is still pretty good. But if it's physically possible Smackdown both sucks and blows at the same time.

They really need to dump the separation bit...it's just lame.

They need some new talent...

No one wants to watch two 40+ year old guys wrestle each other... how about two 20 year old gals? :D:D:D

yes it will... I think this is like the 3rd WWF errr WWE show that I have watched since the split. Its horrible. And if Goldberg comes in and get the title, I'll just quit watching.

Vince should have left WCW alone. The WWF was a much better product before the buyout. I also miss the old WCW. :(

*wishes he could go back a couple years in Wrestling*

Worst. Decision. Ever. Like someone said, they spent years building up the history of the WWF. It actually goes back pretty far under that name. WWE is just terrible. At the very least, they should've changed it to WCW and incorporated it into the storylines somehow.

The World Wild Life Foundation has been an entity since 1961. Hence, they have no legal claim on the name "WWF"

They sure as hell had a WWF logo when I was 8 years old.

Well, before the hulkamaniacs emerged, the WWF was called the WWWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation). I think they should have gone back to that. WWE just doesn't have appeal.

Heh, I belive its the other way around Noriaki. Its actually RAW that blows. Smackdown is still pretty decent.. (Rock, Angle, HHH, Jericho, Edge..)

I really feel sorry for Austin. He has absolutly nothing decent to work with. Hes really getting screwed in the co-branding. I mean.. Austin and X-i love you.. with Hall.. and Big Show? This is probably one of the lower points of his career now..

According to a friend that follows Wrestling, they became the WWF in ~1980

That 1998 date probably applies to something specific in England.

At any rate, World Wildlife Foundation predates it

WWE? How about WEWE, Raw, instead - because that's what it bites. I hate pro wresting, which is an oxymoron at best.
