I find it rather odd that fellow Geeks would even want to watch this sort of thing, much less actually watch it.

Depending on your age, wrestling was great back in the day. Back when you thought it was real as a kid, and much better than the soap opera drama-filled stuff they started doing from the mid 90s onward.

What was not to like about people like Roddy, Junk Yard, Hogan, Iron Shiek, Jake The Snake, Andre, etc back in the day? We didn't have 500 channels to choose from, so things that were on TV like WWF, GI Joe, Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats, Vultron were king for kids during that period. Now kids probably grow up watching reruns of the series Spartacus on Starz on Saturday mornings. :p

I live briefly in Tennessee when I was like 8 y/o and it was like every time I turned on the TV WWF was the only thing on, which I found to be really annoying.

Pardon my Elitism, but every time I hear about NASCAR and WWE, I'm thinking that only "trailer trash"* types view this.

*Note, I'm not actually referring to those who live in Trailers or Trailers Parks as trash, but only to people who behave as such. One be a Millionaire and still be basically trash.

I could also car less about watching cars driving in a circle for hours as well.

I live 30 minutes from the NASCAR hall of fame, and 20 minutes from the Charlotte Speedway, so you can say it's big here. However, it's not my cup of tea.

Classic wrestling though, while I can see not liking it as an adult, was great watching it as a kid. I guess I wouldn't associate someone liking it as being trailer trash. But I can see how it could be viewed that way looking back on it when compared to what it has become today. Different times I guess. I look at people who watch shows like Jerry Springer or Maury Povich as the ones being on the "trashy" side. ;)

Speaking of Talk shows, are there any worth watching?

On tv? I doubt it. There's good radio shows on npr. I don't like call in shows though. For every enlightened response, there's ten others that can't organize their thoughts, can't get to the point, or are downright idiots.

I seen a few epsolds of the Today show where they had some serious topics like a 12 y/o girl who really wants a baby and an 18 y/o who has been a sex worker since 14 and who strongly believed that she will be dead by 21.

@UsandThem Forgive my Elitism, but sometimes I can not avoid thinking that some people are indeed trash given they way the act and behave. However I do try to be mindful of calling out folks for being trash unless it is really warranted.

Strange, but last time I actually called someone "Trash", "She said yes she is, and damn proud of it".:eek:

I just finished watching the season premiere of Hoarders 'Andy and Becky', and if you want to see a trashy family, watch it.
They were Tweeting @ Trump to save their garbage piles because the city is a bunch of "Communists and Nazis" because they were "telling them how they had live". :p
