WWF, ECW, or WCW in its PRIME?

WWE's prime was 88-92 regardless of what anyone says, Hulk Hogan made more money for the WWF than Rock and Austin eventhough they had more mainstream exposure.

WCW's prime was the NWO era which really sucked as far as in ring wrestling does. Watts era 92 WCW was 10x better.

ECW's prime was 96-98 and it was so different and innovative. It wouldn't hold up today but that era ECW is the reason why there was the WWF Attitude Era.

Throw out WCW. Hogan era kept wrestling alive and made tons of money. ECW caused the evolution of the business and the reason for the 2nd boom period in the late 90's.

As for prime of the last 30 years, NWA/JCP 83-90 was the best hands down. Sure Memphis, World Class and UWF were great, but JCP was so much better.

wrestling was boring when it started having plots where all the werestlers were dating and cheating on each other.....They put Stephanie in charge of creative plot ideas and suddenly we have soap opera stuff going on......

Old WWF was the best. Hogan, Andre, Junkyard Dog, Ultimate Warrior, beloved patriot Tonk Man, Iron Sheik, etc. That was wrestling's golden years. The old WCW (wasn't there some NWA affiliation then?) with Sting and Flair in their primes created some of the greatest pure wrestling matches ever. ECW was pretty awesome until the big 2 started pilfering *everyone* from their lineup. Alot of big names like Benoit, Mick Folley, and Jericho got their start in ECW, but ECW was still going strong after they left with people like Sandman, Sabu, and Rob Van Damn. Those hardcore matches were just stunning, and I don't think even now the hardcore stuff is as hardcore. I've since lost interest in wrestling around the time WWF changed their name to WWE, but I still maintain that the late 80's, early 90's WWF period was the glory days of wrestling. 90,000 people in the Pontiac Superdome watching Hogan take the title from Andre the Giant can't be beat.

My favorite era was when Stone Cold was in his prime in WWF. They came out with great storylines and the wrestling was good too (unlike the whole nwo era).

But I loved ECW in its prime. Probably wrestling at its recent finest

ECW was sick, sandman would be all crushing miller lite cans on his head until he drew blood and would spit it all over everyone, then they'd get on stage and light a table on fire and throw a dude on it. then they got out a cheesegrater man it was awesome. never seen 20-30 guys in a ring fake punching each other so much in my life.

Sting vs. NWO days were the BEST IMO.

He'd come outta the rafters, or from the crowd, or outta nowhere and just beat the sh!t outta the NWO with a bat and the crowd went CRAZY.

of course wrestling is fake. But i still enjoy watching it.

i remember when WWF was huge. when Hogan was still in "prime".

But WWF decided that bigger was better. They brought out these huge guys that couldnt wrestle worth crap. At least now you got Jericho, Beniot, Angle etc.
