was actually surprised there wasn't already a thread about it

copying windows snap is funny
copying google now is even funnier

map updates look good,
gaming thing was meh
split window multy tasking is good - will be interesting to see how it preforms on older phones

It's about time they introduced window snapping. Both Windows and Linux have had this feature for years.

Slimming down iOS has been a long time coming. Performance on A5 devices is yet to be seen but it should be a nice update.
 
did they say anything about iTunes of their streaming music thing people have been rumoring is coming?

there are so many players in the streaming music market both free and paid right now that im generally curious as to what they are actually going to do that is different

It won't be on the phones, only iPads, although I wish they would bring at least some of the multitasking features to the 6+. 50/50 split screen should be fine of the 6+, or PIP/video in the background.

Its too bad they couldn't do the new Apple TV experience that was rumored to be announced. This keynote is fairly uninteresting.
 
So... why did it take them so long to develop that music service? It doesn't look like anything special whatsoever.
 
I was hoping that they would throw us day 1 beats music subscribers a bone here, but nada. oh well.

I know nothing about those competitors - do they have human curated radio?

That seems to be Apple's selling point, from what I read.

Most things are. Netlifx is abnormally cheap from what I've seen. Hulu is $10/mo, Spotify is as well. iTunes Match is $25/yr (sad that this isn't part of that), I think MLB On Bat is $99/yr?

iPad Air 2 only. Guess they will only allow it on 2GB+ devices.

Yup. Glad I went for the iPad Air 2. But of course, someone will say that 2 GB isn't necessary for iDevices, right? 😉

Also, I really do hope iOS 9 is faster than iOS 8.3 on my old iPad 2. I don't need the bells and whistles on that iPad 2. I just want the basics to work decently.
 
Watching the keynote now. This is the first time I've seen women talking about or demonstrating Apple products.
 
It's very nice that Apple introduces window snapping, very useful, I guess that Microsoft needs to move quick on this and implement something similar...oh, wait!
 
I love how people criticize every Apple move in these conferences and they are all proven wrong 1 year later. Yet they never come back to admit anything, they just dissapear in internet limbo
