What a mess they have here.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...ourt-justices-impeached-over-spending-n900461

So one Judge (R) has a pile of actual indictments against him and they consider impeachment process. They start looking and the others 2 (D) and another (R) judge have had some questionable updates made to their offices. There's furniture missing, antiques found at homes, ect.

So they move to impeach ALL OF THEM.
The case has drug out and now they are 1 day away from being able to put names on the ballot for an election. Starting tomorrow the Republican Governor can hand pick his court to his liking.

Democracy is a sham when you can change rules on the fly.

I get what you are saying but this appears to be a courtful of Scott Pruitts. Taking valuable government property for home use?

I don't like any of this and it wasn't the personal actions of the justices which was the motivator but those impeached should have higher standards that wouldn't have allowed themselves to steal things.

They need rules/laws to not allow these types of things to happen. Not the impeachment. The fact they can drag it out to rig the system. Impeach the people rigging the game also :)

Shitty people need to be removed. You are probably right that the motivations are not just that, and, I hope but doubt that people will watch how this is done.

Democracy only works if people are behind it.

Hopefully Democrats are learning how it's done, cus they will need to do a lot of court packing in hopefully not too distant future.

You think Fallout will help bring light to this issue?
It will be nice to get a sneak peek of the WV of the near future under GOP control. I certainly wouldn't set foot in WV without full power armor, even today.

Any place that falls under the control of any one ideology has not had long term success. I would imagine they would suffer just like any other place that has fallen under GOP control.

I am curious if anyone has actually examined the outcomes at the state level and above. It seems to me in order to find examples of "long term liberal disasters" people need to resort to the local level where mitigation options are limited.

I would love to see that, but, I see that as being impossible with people so angry. No way that I can see for people to look at it honestly.
