WUXGA notebook screens. How do they perform?

I'm moving more towards a 17" notebook and wonder how good the screen is since I'd be moving from a VX924. I'd be getting the upgraded 17" available on the Core Duo notebooks from Dell.

I have 2 notebook with 1920x1200 on the 15.4" screen

one is 128mb and the other is 64. Both are outdated by now.. But the 128mb one performed much better.

I got a great quote for a 9400 T2300 Duo with WUXGA and 60GB 7200 HD and 7800 Go and DVDRW for just over $1600 shipped including tax, but only 512MB 533 memory and standard battery. And I would NEED additional storage in the range of another 200GB for AV production files. I'd be parting out my current Opty 165 system to pay for it.

I got all that with what you specified except 1GB of 667MHz ram, a 100GB HD, and a 3 year warranty for 1700

My Inspiron 9300 has the WUXGA 17" LCD with the 1920x1200 resolution, and it is amazing, I love it.
