why don't you get a card with dual monitor support?
that way... you don't need three cards.

If you need gaming power, most geforce4 ti4200s have dual CRT support (get a DVI->crt adapter), but make sure it has dual CRT support.

If you want to keep your geforce3, then I suggest a PCI dual head matrox G200. Functionality wise, matrox is superior to nvidia/aTI dual head. I havent seen much in the FS/T forums, but they have some on eBay and compgeeks.com recently had a PCI dual head G200 for $49.

i really need 3 monitor setup. i have 5 open pci slots and 445 watt power supply. i dont need fast speed for my second and third monitors. so i see no need to pay 150$ on a new card. that g200 sounds like a good plan....working on gettin a g2 mx as we speak!

A Voodoo 2 Will not work since its Not a vid card. its just an accelerator card for use with older 2d vid cards. Personally i use a Gefocre2 GTS for my main display, and then a Voodoo 3 2000 for my second display. In the past i Have used these other cards as secondary displays 4mb S3virge cards, 4 and 2 MB S3 trio, 1MB Trident card, an old 2mb ATI Card (dont remember the model). They all worked ok for Low resolutions, but the Voodoo3 is good as a secondary card because it can do 1600x1200x32bit @ 75hz.

Yea.. Just incase you didnt know, Voodoo 2's are ONLY 3D.. they can only output 3d..
So if you could somehow set it up.. you could.. have like.. a 3D Winamp Visualization Plugin running.. from that card.. or maybe Quake1/2? :)

Grabbing a G200 Dual-head sounds like a good idea in this case.

roger that, reallly nice, and no drain on the PCI bus.

you can probalby find the radeon 8500 128 mb retail (so you get all the adaptors, including the one to go from the DVI port to Analog) with dual monitor support for under $150. if you really still want that 3rd monitor, then get one of the radeon 7200 pci 32 mb cards from someone on the FS/FT board, cause those cards were only $30 @ compusa a little while back.

The voodoo 2 card is used as a multimedia controller, so it cant be used as a regular Display adapter. I saw a hack to make it a display adapter, but im not sure if it works.
