I tried installing the software that came along with Linksys WUSB54G v2.0 wireless adapter but the installation would stop as soon as it reaches 25%. How come I am not able to install?
Should I go back to win xp 32 bit?

John, thanks for the link. It looks like I will have to buy another wireless adapter for sure. I dunno which one to get right now.
Has anyone here used a wireless adapter that works with x64 bit window ?

My brother is running windows xp 64, we couldnt find any wusb54g v4 wireless adapater at bestbuy. So I had him buy the linksys wireless g ethernet bridge from newegg.

wireless g ethernet bridge

you dont have to mess with any drivers. it takes a few mins to get the computer to recongize the adapter. On my brother computer, we had to set it to static ip, to log into the wireless bridge, then go from there setting it up to connect the wireless router and putting in the correct secuirty code. Then we the wireless bridge and the his computer back to obtain ip address automatically.

You can also use a Motorola WR850G router with a Linksys WRT54G (in my case, both are version 2 of the hardware), and set up "Lazy WDS". Thereafter, all you have to do is plug client systems into the LAN port on the WR850G
