My upgrade from 2 weeks ago is pumping out 8WU a day...

8K5A2+ Mobo
XP1600 OCed to 1750...
256MB Samsung PC2700 mem....

the old system did 1 every couple of days or more.. heheh

Assimilator1

Thanks Assimilator1 that is the stuff we need to hear, I haven't kept up on the duron to know about the 1 ghz and above situtation.

Do you know if these will be able to go into a ASUS A7V motherboard?
Thanks.

Muttley

According to this A7V site they will😀
They really are a good bang for their buck with SETI😎

Ok thanks guys ,that should be enough info ,though I'd like to know what Smokeballs 208MHz FSB XP does 🙂

Btw I have used bits & pieces of everyones WU times ,I have slightly rounded up or down times to simplify things

How much of a time difference does PC-2700 ram make over PC-2100 in the athlons 1600 to 2100 XP series?

muttley

From what i have heard motherboards claiming to run faster memory than 2700 as their standard speed are not tweaked cause there is no standard and so the motherboard manufactures want their motherboards to run all memory manufactures. Hope that makes sense. Thats why I asked about the difference of PC-2100 and PC-2700.

Here are a bunch. The WU time range is from "a ~0.417 AR" to "a big AR like 7 or 11"

P4 2.4GHz 156MB PC2100 WINXPHOME -- 3:37 to 2:53 (Dell 4500)
P4 2.0GHz 128MB PC2100 WINXPHOME -- 3:57 to 3:05 (Dell 4500)
Duron 1200MHz 256MB PC133 WIN2KPRO -- 4:50 to 4:16 🙂
Athlon TB 1.4@1587MHz 512MB PC133 WINXPPRO -- 5:11 to 4:35 :disgust:
Duron 800 256MB PC133 WIN2KPRO -- 8:41 to 7:42
Duron 750 256MB PC133 WIN2KPRO -- 9:10 to 7:55
PII-400 64MB PC100 WIN2KPRO -- 13:10 to 10:49 (Dell Optiplex GX1)
PII-400 64MB PC100 WIN2KPRO -- 13:12 to 10:50 (Dell Optiplex GX1)
PII-333 128MB PC66 WIN2KPRO -- 16:30 to 13:48 (Dell Optiplex GX1)
PII-266 Mobile (laptop) 192MB PC100 WIN2KPRO -- 19:47 to 16:15 (Gateway 9100LS)

Check out our updated WU time page here 🙂

There is something wrong with your PII 400 system ,it is slower than your PII 350!😉.The PII 400 ought only be a touch slower than your PIII 450

BMdoobie
If you can give an average WU time rather than a range then I might be able to convince Virge in a little time to add just a few more (I think I did his head in with all the CPU times I gave him last time,he has to enter it in manually!😉).

Give me an average(or the WU time for most WU's) for the P4 2.4GHz ,the 2 Durons, 1 of the PII 400's & the PII 266.

Thanks for all the input guys 🙂 ,no more WU times required ,aside from Smokeballs 208MHz FSB XP

Times in bold are average WU times

3:26 - P4 2.4GHz 156MB PC2100 WINXPHOME -- 3:37 to 2:53 (Dell 4500)
3:44 - P4 2.0GHz 128MB PC2100 WINXPHOME -- 3:57 to 3:05 (Dell 4500)
4:43 - Duron 1200MHz 256MB PC133 WIN2KPRO -- 4:50 to 4:16
4:59 - Athlon TB 1.4@1587MHz 512MB PC133 WINXPPRO -- 5:11 to 4:35
8:42 - Duron 800 256MB PC133 WIN2KPRO -- 8:41 to 7:42
8:37 - Duron 750 256MB PC133 WIN2KPRO -- 9:10 to 7:55

Dual PPro166@233 512k, 180MB EDO, 440FX - 30:56
P2-450, 256MB PC133, BX - 10:38

All results are average of a helluv a lot of wu's. 🙂

Abit kx7-333r 1600+ @187X10 Corsair xms 3200 = 2:24
Gigabyte GA7-vrxp 1600+ @176X10 Corsair xms 3200 = 2:31
Gigabyte GA7-vrxp 1600+ @169x10.5 kinston pc2700 = 2:47
Aopen cel 600 = 11:47
I Like those 1600+

Err guys ,I guess you didn't see my previous post ,the bit in bold writing saying I didn't need anymore WU times?😛😉 ,thanks anyway🙂 ,I might see if Virge will accept anymore in a few weeks or so😉

I'll save the thread anyway for future reference

RickD
I've got an AGOIA (?) XP1600 here (its new anyway) ,I've yet to fully unlock it ,I can't get it above x11 atm🙁 ,I'm gonna have to re-do the bridges.
I'm hoping for 1.7GHz+ ,atm I've got it at 1.67GHz no sweat 😀

(gonna edit title)

he he he, I think we some people pretty proud of their OCing ability ... and rightly so. 😀

Assim,
I don't think people care. 😛 They are showing off their skillz on oc'n and it's showing that it is great. 😀

I still don't see a Pii450 on that list. 😀 Bwahahaha hehehee

Wolfie

P4 2.4@2.66 with FSB@ PC889 speeds (it's 148MHz fsb set back to 300Mhz using RDRAM) 2x256MB PC800 RDRAM and the average times are around 2:30-2:40 per wu
P3 933@933 with 133 FSB on the i820 chipset runs about 7.5-8 hours depending on wu.

CHEERS!
