First off, if you don't like hip hop you're in the wrong thread. Second, if anyone was at the Around the Way jam in Philly on Sat what did you think? I thought they ripped it even though the mics were fct up with feedback. Thought it was cool of Meth to acknowledge it but say f it, there's nothing they can do, the show must go on. The best was the opening when they did Bring Da Ruckus and Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nothin' to F With, felt just like the early 90's.

Other acts: Reef da Lost Cause did well, Jedi Mind Tricks tore it up (liked DJ Quest), Boot Camp Clik was so so, Redman was off the hook (DJ Skratch did great), Rakim and Kid Capri were great (man I can't wait for R's new album), and EPMD (surprise guest) were also good considering they hadn't been on stage in 8 years! Overall a great show.

He like it? Ask him if he saw that drunk girl rubbing her tata'z sitting on some dude's shoulders, she was going nuts!

Prolly the only bad part was waiting 5 hours for Wu to come on and then having their mics f up after the first 3 songs. The rest of the show was a blast.

Holy crap, Winston too.

Tickets said, "Door open at 5:00pm"
Wu started at 12 midnight. At 9:30 the DJ said, "You all ready for Wu?" and of course everybody got up, then he proceeded to say,"they'll be out in 5 more minutes ya'll" about twenty times, including 20 minute after he got on. Standing up for 3 hours is reeeeeeeal sweet. Plus being sober for the show was what I had planned too.

They still rap? I thought Ghostface became a taxi driver. ODB died. Capadonna is broke. Redman and Method Man do deoderant commercials.

I used to like their stuff when I was younger until I realized that they have no frickin idea what they're rapping about. Just a bunch of nonsense that sounds neat and intelligent.

Ghost is still blessing the underground. Red/Meth are pretty mainstream now and still put out new stuff. You knock it because you don't understand it, that's fine b/c it wasn't meant for you.

LOL, I liked them in middle school when I thought their lyrics sounded great. Then I got older. They just ryhme a bunch of words together if it sounds deep or intelligent.

Wu Tang Forever (I think thats what it was called), the double dcd album was great. They found a style that worked at the time; ryhming scientific and nonsense words together over kung fu beats.

Dont make me pull lyircs off the internet.

Oh, and wtf are you talking about?

You probably don't understand the slang if you don't understand what it means to bless a track, or blow it the f up. Ghost is still a hiphop underground icon, and is still very active in staying true to the old school while innovating. Meth is sorta just releasing album after album with not much substance.
