This is for BOTH units not just one, supposedly made by the OEM manufacturer for the Wii.

Perfect if you get a Wii for Christmas, and need more to party.

I see a lot of these 3rd party wiimotes and nunchuks. I think Monoprice.com even has em.

I don't know....Some of that stuff is just slapped together....

does the motion plus work with these ?

I would think so, because they also sell the genuine motion plus. And the Wumote works fine w/ the nunchuk so we know the port is "functioning." Also, I have these and I can offer some feedback. They look exactly like the original. They are fully functioning, but the speaker is a bit more muffled. I took a chance and I was not at all dissappointed.

Just got my kids a WII for Christmas and do not have the foggiest idea of what controllers they need to do the basic stuff...any suggestions?

Thank you and Merry Christmas!

I just got one for my kids too. I just got them the main unit and wii play because it came with another controller so they can do some versus.

Zettler and DPH, you probably will want to start off with two Remotes and two Motion Plus adapters.

The best deal I've seen so far on the Motion Plus adapters is to pick up the Wii Sports Resort with 2 Motion Plus bundle. The only place I've seen it recently is at Sam's Club, for $54.48.

Good luck! Carl

Not sure it motion plus is really needed since only a few games use them. Once more games are using it'll probably worth getting it. 2 remotes and 2 nunchuks should do for the basic stuff.

From what I can tell, the motion plus just makes all your motions register more accurately. IOW, it benefits everything. The difference seems obvious to me even just navigating around the main menu. Honestly, I'd like a Wiimote with motion plus built-in so I don't need to adapter because none of the accessories have space for the adapter. For instance, I end up using the Wiimote with motion plus rather than the Link crossbow because it seems much more accurate to use the motion plus (which doesn't fit in the crossbow.
