WTH? Why does my chest hurt so bad?

Anyone else ever have their chest hurt so bad that you feel like you're gonna pass out? It feels like it's tight and sorta throbbing, kinda right at the bottom/behind the sternum or something. It has happened before but not in a long time. Probably stress related or something...ow...

anxiety? I got the same type of stuff all the time before. Comes with a tingling sensation or numbness in your hand because you're hyperventilating. I would feel dizzy, my heart would start beating fast, I felt like I couldn't breathe. Once I had a major attack at work I was diagnosed by a shrink. I'm on meds now and my life has changed to some extent. Check it out.

1. Iit doesn't feel like regular heartburn
2. I don't think I'm old enough for a heart attack nor are there any of the other symptoms
3. It's not a cold
4. Not anxiety...perfectly calm, no other symptoms

I get the exact same thing, Sharp pain on right side of chest, feels almost like a muscle spasm but more sharp and painful. Hurts to breathe and move. goes away after a few min. Only happens once or twice a week...

I've got a physical scheduled for april, so I'll probably just ask then...

Go to a doctor immediately. You might be experiencing a perforated ulcer of the upper Gastro-intestinal system. I had that, and it was real painful

I have this as well, so does my dad.

Went to a doctor, he said it was stress-related but just to take it easy.

never say you're not old enough for a heart attack. that's the kind of attitude that will give you one.
