You act like you're surprised. He's been in pain for the last, what, month or two? And he's been injured on and off all season long.

He helped get them there. Now the rest of the team has to show that they can go the final rounds.

Tom Glavine has to finally step up and be the ace. I think they'll make it through the NL, although with some more difficulty. El-Duque has been a beautiful post season pitcher in the past, and I think he'll step it up for this post-season.

If he were a man like Schilling, he'd staple his calf back together and pitch.

glavine duque trachsel and maine should fair okay and considering they have a dominant pen of: wagner, heilman, bradford, mota, feliciano, oliver, bert, and whoever i'm missing, they should still fare well.

Even without pedro, who's going to give them trouble in the NL? Unfortunatley trouble will be endured come yet another subway series in october ;)

If the season ends like it is right now, Dodgers vs. Mets, in the first round will be a good one. Dodgers would be starting Maddux, Penny, and Lowe.

GO DODGERS!!!

No real surpise here. He hasn't faired too well in several of his last starts. His 2006 season has been far from stellar from his previous seasons with Boston. They should be able to get to the NLCS with little resistance.

For next season? Heck, keeping Pedro healthy for 20 minutes is a miracle. The guy is as tough as cotton candy in a monsoon.

Haha, I only wish the Astros had started this run a week earlier. Seriously, half a game back with three games left? Yiiikes.

I wouldn't say he helped them get there. He got them rolling the first couple of months.
But since then, he's been injured practically the entire 2nd half of the season.
And the Mets were still winning without him.

He is the bench catalyst though

exact reason i kind of no longer want the pads to win the division. if cards choke and we gotta face the 'stros, we're looking at clemens, oswalt and pettitte. and with lidge seemingly returning to his old self? screw that.

but if the cards do hold on, ill happily accept the division. ;)
