WTH... My computer just shut off...

This afternoon I was playing starcraft, and there was like all lightning and rain outside, I heard a couple of really loud ass lightning noices, and my computer just shut off by it self, lucky I was able to turn it back on, this never happened before any 1 know why?

Op, its common sense that if you are playing during a lighting storm and hear "loud ass" thunder, there might be a power surge or hiccup like others have said. No offense in aything I just said, just realized it sounded like crap.
