Stupid prog won't recognize the fact that I have an audio cd in the drive. CDEx sees it just fine. Stupid stupid EAC...ARrrrrrr......
Is there some hidden setting called "recognize cd" or somethign that I missed?

Is it a burned CD? Maybe you didn't close the session or something odd. There are a couple programs that won't even recognize my TDK burners (like CDRwin i think and CloneCD)

Not to sound like to much of a jack ass but do you have the right drive selected in the drop down menu.

I had a problem with CDex that cuases my computer to not be able to access my CD-ROM drives. If I opened CDex and then closed it, all my drives were dead.... If I restarted my computer and did not open CDex, bam, my drives were back.

Under EAC Options --> Interface what do you have picked? If your trying to use Installed ASPI layer in Win XP that may be the problem. WinXP doesn't have one installed natively. You will have to get one from Adaptec. I actually use the second option, because I had the VOB software already downloaded. It works as good as the Adaptec layer in my opinion. You might also try the third option if you have a newer EAC and use the one that is built into EAC (but on the EAC version I have that is a beta option that isn't guaranteed to work).
