I can't say I find this that terribly stupid.

Ok, wait...it's stupid. But if you're building an old GM truck for off-roading, the body is a pretty worthless component. Fuck, bolt an old hot tub to the top of the frame, for all it matters.

There are a lot of old trucks out there that are solid enough underneath, but the bodies are rotting off...solution: buy the cheapest piece of shit you can get and bolt it to the frame. Works for me.
