I was told by the local mechanic that I should look into some synthetic headlight fluid since my lights are dim at night. When's the last time you changed your headlight fluid and what is the typical interval?

I told my friend that his turn signal fluid was low when the light burned out. I also told him that the stop signs that had the white line along the outside were optional. He fell for both of them...

bwahhahahhahah. Show up with a video camera and kinda talk through him while your buddy videotapes it. Put it in DiVX and let it flow on the internet.

hehe is it the little bit of water that condense and collects inside halogen headlight casing? The mechanic-"oh you see that little bit of clear fluid there? You're lucky your headlight didn't go poof! it needs to be filled all the way to the top"

Ya I been thinking of getting a new mechanic too, The SOB that works on mine all of the time is getting an attitude, today he twisted off a bolt in the block, and frankly I had a hard time being around him.<------------ME:disgust:

I checked all of my fluids and then some. My headlight fld's looked fine, thank god, thats about the only part of my rig that stable.

The only thing remotely resemblig fluid anywhere near headlights should be boot grease. I'd definately look into getting a new mechanic.

Well if you have an audi or another european car then you may have headlight washers that spray fluid at your headlights.

Could the mechanic have been poking fun at my ignorance?

Yes, absolutely poking fun. Like when a computer tech tells a person their power supply needs to be formatted or they defragged the video card.

Got this a few weeks ago. http://jeppa1.home.mindspring.com/girlcar.MP3 (approx 2MB)

Sheesh, everyone should be forced to at least take a basic auto mechanics course, nowadays. I mean, our society is only totally automobile dependant.

Edit - worth beat me to it. Same one. :)

Doesn't the left headlight have to be adjusted with a special left-handed wrench?

Make sure to rotate the air in your tires. Also, check you kanutant valve, and make sure the scrotoscropic anominizer is well oiled.

I remember in Boys Scouts we used to send new kids to other campsites looking for smoke shifters and bacon stretchers.

I had to have my muffler bearings adjusted yesterday.
