Go to xda forums and put the Legendary EI22 rom on your phone. I have the rom and everything on my phone works and it is fast. Do not ever trust Samsung stock software, it is horrendous.

Yeah I'm using the CleanGB EI22 ROM. Works great, never been happier with my phone.

The thing about the Epic is the stock software is not very good but the hardware is still pretty decent, which is more than I can say for the Moment I used to have. So when the XDA community comes up with custom ROMs, they improve the phone a lot.
