WTH does Adobe After Effects do? (Post samples)

I know what it does but I've never seen any real product. Is anyone here good with it and have something that could show off the ability of the program?

Do you watch TV? From what Adobe says, most commercials, news stations etc. use After Effects.

After Effects is compositing and finishing.

Akin to Digital Fusion and Shake, except not as good and much much cheaper.
