I finally got around to watching it and it definitely is not the same kid. Even in the "previously on ER" flashbacks, they replaced the scene with the original kid with the new kid...

BTW, I believe they changed his dad during last season too.

The show seriously sucks now. I watch the reruns on occasion (the ones with Edwards, Clooney and LaSalle) and they are 10x better than the crap out now. Also, the seasoner opener sucked

Apparently the reason for the change is because Oliver wasn't available often enough so they recasted a kid who was more available.

i watched some of the season premiere and fell asleep.

i like this show but they can really put out some duds at times. the action in the hospital & ER is fine, but when they delve off into the personal problems away from the hospital, i can get sleepy.

edit: oh yeah i noticed Alex is different. :thumbsdown:

Good, Sam is a hottie but honestly I'd start watching again if Luca turned into his old self.
Maybe if they took it farther and turned him into Dr. Christian Troy!

But yeah NSFW has it right, this show is dead compared to the old seasons, hate to admit I liked clooney but him and Green made the show.

They could always raise Romano from the dead I suppose....
