wth, AW/BFI just dropped off this freaking huge recycle cart

What the bloody hell could possibly posses them to think that we want or need this thing

It's like 70% of the size of our normal trash cart thingy. I bet it took more plastic to make than they've even reclaimed in the past year. Do they seriously not have anything better to do with their money. And dear God, more fits in there than we've probably recycled in the past month. Not to mention, why they hell would I want to now take two trips to get our crap to the curb instead of one. I've been perfectly content every Monday night putting the stupid plastic bin on top of the trash cart and wheeling it out for the past 6 years. And where the heck do they think we're going to put it, no way in hell will it fit somewhere in the garage where we can roll it out. And there's no way it's going to sit outside our house somewhere, beyond looking like crap, and seeing as it's a gated community, I doubt we'd even be allowed to if we wanted. They're either taking it back or I'm going to have myself a nice toxic campfire.

With that being said, you could always put your recyclables in it and not take it out every week. Just a suggestion. Oh, and you're paying for it; not them.

Back home we've got a similar sized one. We take it out whenever it fills up , which in a family of 6 is at least the once a week that it's collected. Recyclables + newspapers = gets filled up.

I'm living in my campus' apartments, and what's funny is that they don't have a separate bin for aluminum/glass inside the dorms, but do in the parking garage.

It's weird 😕

You must go through a whole lot of stuff. Back at home with just me and my parents we go through one trash bag every two weeks, and probably around a bin of recycles+newspapers each week.
