I once sent to motherboards to the wrong person, they were going to buy them, then back out. They forgot about it and were 😕 when a big box showed up with two motherboards in it.. luckily I figured it out the day that the box arrived (DC showed the wrong address) and I was able to get the guy to send them along to the actual buyer just for shipping cost. Whew.

BTW, are they travan-type tapes?

They are Maxell IIIxts

They say they support DLT 2000xt,2500xt,2700xt,4000,4500,4700 and 7000 drives

Hello😛

From the looks of thigns this thing was doing 1MB/s in uncompressed......compressed should prove more fufilling...I was in a rush as I had to turn it off, so I had top type quickly...it actually turned out to be, or more accurate, the winning DRIVER turned out to be a Quantum 7000DLT.

MMC and MS Backup were very kind to me in instantly recognizing it😎

is the answer to why mankind exists there?

I couldn't get to that info🙁 I don;t know that much about tapes and this one is only accessible via MS backup.....the MMC plugin doesn;t do jack.....either that or they "clean"

Either way, tommorow will allow for more experimentation and perhaps some data recovery..just for kicks..I want to find out who gave this to me
