I just updated my email address in my profile, and AnandTech sends me my new password. OK. I log in with it. Login credentials invalid. WTF? 😕

I login with my old password and it works. Refreshed a billion times and nothing's fishy. Go to the profile, email is updated. wtf?
 
If your email address is provided by one of these providers, that could explain the problem:

Hotmail
Nightmail
Whitehouse
Yahoo
All domains operated by portofevil.com, aka evilemail.com

To be honest, I dunno - the same thing happened to me when I tried changing my email in my profile.

BTW, add ev1.net onto that banned list
 
damn, lots of banned people. no, it wasn't on that list. it's OK though, everything works fine - this thread got moved here by the moderator cause I guess he felt it wasn't suitable for OT - but it really wasn't much of a serious thread, so oh well. things are fine with the account, so I have no actual complaints, just sorta noting that this weird bug happened.
