I just got a call on my cell phone from

1-800-808-1336

And when I answered it, the recorded message came up "Thanks for calling! Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line"

At this point I hung up.

wtf is this crap?! :D

Hey, that happened to me to...they automatic dial you, then when you pick up it shows that you answered, and someone rushes to sell you something on the other end of the line.

Quite lame really.

Sprint phone? That was probably the Sprint customer service people calling you. I've had em do the same thing when my payment didn't go through online and they said I had a past due amount. Don't have the number on my phone any more to see if it's the same.

Ahhhh.. there it is. Yea, that's the Sprint folks giving you your disconnect notice. (it was in my missed calls section, I guess I missed them calling me one time)

you were called by an auto-dialer---someone was trying to sell you something

edit: it is a Sprint customer service #
