WTF Wii for $322?

So? Like there's going to be any decent games out for it before it drops to below $250 anyway?

The Xbox 360 thread is ------> way.

😕

I don't own an xbox and I wasn't making any comments about an xbox. Where'd that come from?

US price is likely lower than the Euro price, we'll just have to wait and see. I'm buying it regardless if it's 200 or 300.

Thanks for posting that. After reading the first few replies, I was in a hurry to get it posted to calm the rebellion. European consoles have always cost more than the US or Japan due to taxes or some kind of ******.

I'm not interested in the Wii at all, but I still hope it becomes a decent hit to help the ever-growing games industry. Plus, even though I absolutely loathe the direction Nintendo has taken in recent years, I'll still love them for the NES and SNES.

$322 US is basically the equivalent of 250 euros. This higher price will likely stick in the UK due to taxes. Everything I've read still notes a sub-$250 price in the United States.

I pretty much lost interest after they dropped the much cooler name "Revolution". Now it's just stupid. I mean, I'd feel embarassed asking to buy the damn thing with a name like that! But seriously though... when I read in the article that the controller is a one-handed motion-sensor-type thing... I would not buy it for $5. So I guess this issue of "is it $250 or $322" is unimportant to me.

Nintendo President and Representative Director, Satoru Iwata expects the Nintendo Wii price to be $322 in the US, which is about 250 euros, or 25,000 yen. Earlier announces from Nintendo indicated that the Wii price would be below $250.

The Nintendo Wii price announcement comes as a shock for many video gamers who expected a price range from $200-$250.
