WTF? Why do people have to screw up classic movies?

I'm watching To Sir, With Love on AMC right now, and it's a damn good flick. But they had this inane introduction about how it was a good "Grrrl Genius" movie, and this inane woman prattling on about how this movie is all about "grrrl" power and she's dressed up all trendy-like. Bah. I'm all for equality, but why devaluate a perfectly good classic movie with this "trendy" intro crap. I expect more from AMC. Guess I shouldn't.
