WTF, why cant i change my refresh rate on my gf3 ti 200?

running win98se so the nvrefresh obviously wont work. i couldnt find any answer to this. ive installed powerstrip and hztool. even after selecting the resolution, color, and rate, it is still stuck at 60hz. no matter what i change it to. what is going on? im running the 22.80 drivers. for some reason it doesnt have the option to select refresh rate under adapter settings. why not? any ideas on how to get this thing fixed? thanks.

Your refresh rate capability is governed by your monitor first, your card second. Do you have a plug n pray monitor? Installing the latest INF driver for your monitor will help.

yeah viewsonic p810. has the latest drivers. everything was working fine 5 mintues before i took the gf2 ultra out and put the gf3 ti 200 in.
