I could have sworn win98 had the internet connection sharing wizard on it somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. I have checked under Add/Remove programs > Windows components, and it's just not there! I'm using win98 SE, with the most recent critical updates and crap, but I can't find the wizard anywhere. This is kinda bothering me, so does anyone know where I could find and download it? microsoft.com doesn't seem to work too well. :(

I just want my secondary computer to be able to share our dsl for a little while.

I have Win98SE on one of my boxes. ICS is listed under Add/Remove Programs --> Windows Setup --> Intenet Tools.

But the problem with THAT is this computer is an OEM version. It didn't come with a win98 cd, it came with a "system recovery cd".

Meaning you can't use it like a normal win98 cd. :(

That sucks when they don't include at least the OEM Windows CD and CoA. Unfortunately, I think that ICS is the only part of the SE upgade that is not available as a download (either with IE5 or a Service Pack) from Microsoft. I believe that the cheapest alternative is to buy an upgrade CD. I think they are about $19.95 -- at least they were when SE was released.

Well CRAP.

Ok, well, I tried another gateway software. I guess it'll work, but now it appears my transfer sweep between my computers on the network is SLOW!

Guess I get to start a new thread now. :(
