WTF? Went for an eye exam and they kept acting like i was 10 years old

First when I set up the appointment on the phone then when I was there, they asked me a minimum 4 or 5 times if the insurance is mine or if im on my fathers insurance.

I am 25, going to be 26 soon and def. dont look much younger...

they seemed to be surprised everytime i said it was my insurance.

If you look like you're 21 or so they'll always ask you that. Most college students don't have their own insurance plan.

is it a ppo? man, i wouldn't put up w/ that. i'd leave and go find another place.

i didnt mind the first time or 2, because I work at UCLA (they didnt know that) and it is the closest place to campus, but after the 4th time I started to get pretty annoyed.

especially because i had filled out the insurance info already

Lighten up...be happy you don't look old. I'm almost 40, look well under 30 and love it when I go into a meeting with people I don't know (I'm a music lawyer so most meetings I have are with bands I represent and record labels) and they say "I thought your lawyer was coming...is he meeting you here?"

Trust me, when you're 60 and they think you're 59 you'll be happy.

CHEEZ IT GUYS! THE COPS!

That's nothing. I had braces from age 21 to 23. One time when I was leaving the office, the secretary asked me, "Do you need a doctor's note for school?" 😱

Maybe you act like you're 10 years old? 😛

I popped a knuckle playing soccer once and went to the doctor after 3 days of not being able to move it and having it swell up to the size of a small plum. I was 15 at the time and the doc treated me like I was 4. I was embarrassed for the both of us.

...so I figured I'd just tape the two fingers together for the time being.
You thought of that yourself??? Well, let me tell you that was a very smart thing to do! I know people twice your age who wouldn't think to do that.
Yeah, well I figured it was what I should do.
Well, we won't bother to put a splint on it then, and we might as well just wrap it up like you had it before. See, we doctors call this the 'buddy wrap' because these two fingers are buddies when I tape them together.

😱

I got ID'd buying beer today... I've been of age for almost 4 years now and I don't look young. Go figure.
