Wow, VW must lease their cars totally differerntly than Mitsu and Jeep because on those leases they called me a month before to see if i wanted to buy it out and when i said I didn't, they set up an appointment to have the guy come and inspect it and gave me a date I could return it.
Who wants a used VW though? :)

When I was 16 I purchased an 87 Jetta with over 100,000 miles. It was still driving GREAT in 2002 when I bought my 1.8T straight outta college.

You must be one of the lucky ones. I had an 86 GTI 8V and though I loved driving the car, that thing never started if the temperature outside was below 40F.

I have a 92 Passat, and starts at 0 Fahrenheit (barely). I must change the battery or improve the electrolyte, as the starter is barely able to crank it. 10 more Fahrenheit, and the starter crank it easily. Maybe change the oil (I now use mineral 15W40)
