I'm pretty sure it's cuz i went over the limit for a bit too long - but it's not like they deleted old ones - THEY DELETED ALL OF THEM.

On top of which - after that happened the first time I got an email from them saying I was over the limit - I was like WTF !!!!!!!!
Nothing in my Trash Folder either.

It just happened again - **sigh**

Time to get a new email (this is gonna SUCK !! been using this exclusively for at least 2 YEARS)

Although I like Hotmail's new XPesque interface I'd suggest Yahoo! Mail, they've never deleted my e-mail and give you 6MB vs Hotmails 2MB.

I really just need to get the @Home email add-on form to WORK, then I'd be all good

does Yahoo pick up POP3 email from other accounts ?

Yep Yahoo! does POP3. I use Yahoo! at work to check my POP and leave mail on the server so I can download it when I get home.

Hotmail did this once before to my account also. It took 2 weeks , then they just magically appeared in my inbox again. Lucky me.

I no longer use hotmail as a regularly checked account.

They would be doing me a favor if they deleted mine. My hotmail account accumulates unsolicited emails faster than a pile of elephant dung gets flies! :Q

Cheers!

I just set up an account at email.com, they have an automatic forwarding service, and it goes to my @home account.

I synchronize all 3 of my Hotmail accounts with Outlook Express. That way, I have a copy on the site, my hard drive, and a Zip disk...also a CD if Im feeling paranoid. :) If I start to go over the limit, I download the big e-mails to my HD.

yea - I figured I would just back up the emails I wanted to keep - dumb me.

sluggo - have u noticed any downtime w/ email.com ?? I use cjb.net to forward to my hotmail (AT doesn't allow hotmail) but I notice that emails directed at whatever@____.cjb.net take a while - or if cjb is down never arrive.

There were pretty bad downtimes a year or so ago. I havent used it as primary in a while, but stuff I forward to myself seems to go through pretty quickly. I use Outlook on 2 computers that are not tied together, so if there is something I want to save something that I have read on my secondary comp, I just forward it to email.com, and get it on my main computer. Sounds screwy I know, I am just getting to using outlook though, from web based mail.
