ok we had a admin assistant working PT in here for a few weeks. She's still in college and she's HOT. I got along with her very well, and sometimes we chat a few words in the office. Then our boss warned her not to talk to the programmers. ok that's fine, so we don't talk during office hours, but we still go out together for lunch. Yesterday boss blamed her on something that obviously he had made up. She got pretty upset. Ok i supposed sometimes bosses do that. Now this morning she called me up and told me that when she got to the office this morning, she was told that "We have a FT admin assistant now, we don't need you anymore." WTF!!!

I'm so fvcking upset. It's not the first time he treated ppl terribly, and he piss me off all the time too. i've seen enough. Sh!t i can't stand a boss like that. This is a tiny company, another programmer and I basically keeps the company alive, so i don't worry about him getting rid of me now. but i won't know when he'll do the same to me. If i quit now he's fvcked. I'm gonna look for a new job and fvck him.

you're boss prolly hit on the hit chick, got pwned by her no, felt like an ass, so he fired her.
so now you know what to do with your boss, if he hits on you, you better be open to new idea's, or you'll be replaced by another FT admin.

I had something like that happen...i was working at this place that had 2 hot freshman college admin assistants working in my same area...they would run out of stuff to do so instead of just sitting there chatting on the phone i would give them things to do so they wouldn't get in trouble (and to keep them near me to chat up ;))...this pissed my (female) boss off and i was told they couldn't work for me anymore even though the person they did work for said it was good and was glad i took some initiaive to give them the opportunity. So instead of working of course one of them got caught by my boss chatting on the phone one day and ended up getting fired because of it. Total BS...i ended up leaving a month later leaving them with nobody that could do my job and to this day (from what i hear) no one who can do it as effeciently :D I say you do the same...that'll learn em to take the programmers hot girls away

If she was a fatty, then your boss would of done the correct thing by getting rid of her. But seeing as though she's a hottie, he must be pure evil to do such a thing. I say you quit and burn the place down. That'll teach 'em not to mess with your precious feelings.

I personally treat my employees as badly as I can without them quiting, and I belittle them at the same time, so that they know their chances of finding another job are low, because they are nearly worthless, so I find very few quit, even when I ridicule them in front of other employees.

++ This is what I do, as it is the only way to assure that I can have my 100 workers at 5.15 an hour are completely under my evil control. They are all pawns in my evil game of chess.

That reminded me of the "you kick my dog!" skit.

They wouldn't be called "human resources" if they weren't meant to be strip-mined

The thing is, if that wasn't the case, it would never have reached this point. So the boss still sucks.

I've seen that happen where the boss sees he hired someone that's going to be a distraction, so he/she makes something up to get rid of the person cleanly.

The minute you start thinking you are irreplaceable - you are.

Be careful - you may be unemployed soon.
