Bill came to $14.80, when i PICKED UP MY ORDER, i left a $2 tip bringing the total to $16.80.

I check my online statement today and it says $17.80.

Now i know this is just a $1 but its the principal of the thing. Do i have any recourse?

**EDIT: I put the important part in bold for those of you who cannot read. I called in the order and picked it up, all the waitress did was hand me my bill.

wait until it has truely posted and isnt a temp charge, this happens to me quite often but the charge that ends up being permannet is correct.

It was curb-side pickup, all she did was walk 3 feet to my car?

tipping $2 for a $14.80 bill is reasonable. :| those that say his a crappy tipper can shove it up their butt!! I wonder how much do you tip for $15.00 dollar meal. $5 bucks? Idiots!!!

This is a CURBSIDE order. Unless I have a party of 5 or more 15% isn't Necessary. but anything between 10% -15% is acceptable.

My lord, since people cant read, i made it a little clearer in my original post.

2.00 is acceptable for curbside pickup, but dining in, i hope u better give 15%+, or else the servers will recognize you and give u bad service the next time... at lease thats what every server, including myself, does. We won't do anything to your food, but just neglect you for a most of the timeu're there.

Just wait until it acutally posts. This happens to me all the time.

BTW, screw what everyone else is saying. $2 is a fine tip if all they are doing is bringing the food to your car. My guess is that most people don't tip the curbside pickup people at all.

I typically leave 20% when dining in, but that has nothing to do with the case at hand.

I wouldnt have left a tip on a pickup order. I am a cheap arse, I called my credit card on a $1.50 overcharge on a hotel room I stayed in. These places make enough not to overcharge on little things.

Did you write down how much you actually left on the receipt she gave you? If so, bring that and your online statement to the place and talk to a manager. Fvcking crappy waitress did that to me once but I didn't notice until 2 months later :|

From that I'll give you zero tips. 🙂 believe me I have done that to crappy servers and will never dine there again. 🙂 If you give me the attitude, I'll even speak or write to the owner of the restaurant. 😉 I use to work in a restaurant as a waiter and I know exactly whats going on.

No freaking tips for a pickup, and I tip 20% otherwise.

Any chance your 2 looked like a 3 and your 6 looked like a 7? Probably not. Just let it go. It's a buck. Life goes on.

Then just bring that to the manager and talk to them about it. I know when I worked at Chilis my @$$ would have been gone if I overcharged someone on their tips, even for a dollar. That b1tch is probably doing it to other people as well. It's not her fvcking money, so she can go find another job. (Not sure how the managers are Carrabas would handle it though)
