wtf... stupid person keeps calling my house / cell phone and hanging up.

So like.... my house phone is routery (sp) and can't use the *69 feature ....it's probably a blocked number though like I have been receiving on my cell phone. I *69'ed the number on my cell phone but it was shooting words at me and numbers that didn't make sense.... example

the numbers were

5c25
0021 008

I called verizon and they said you can't use the *69 feature on cell phones.
I'm tired of these blocked calls keep calling me and then after 5 seconds of me saying "hello" and then it hangs up on me. I know it's probably some stupid high school kid loving to wake me up in the morning and bothering my parents on the house phone.


Verizon said that all it can do is just change my number, but screw that I want to keep my number. They should be able to trace calls like that for me .

Does your location not have tone service or are you just to cheap to get a touch tone phone?

I remember my Aunt used to live in a small town in MA that had rotary service forever, and to call neighbors they only had to dial the last 4 digits of the number. I was amazed, "only 4 digits, 'eh? That's COOL."

That was ~15yrs ago (+/- 3yrs).. Even they were upgraded to touch tone service and 7 digit dialing. And of course, down here in S.FL most times it's 10digit dialing to call someone.

My grandma still doesn't have touchtone service. She doesn't see the need to pay the phone company a dollar extra a month. She does however have a phone that you can select either pulse or tone. I switched it over to tone and sure enough the thing dialed out and worked. Seems like the phone company finally made touch tone standard...however my Grandma refused to keep it on touch tone since since she wasn't paying for it. Some people are too honest.

They probably don't even charge extra anymore. She's paying for TouchTone whether or not she uses it. And they'd probably prefer she use touch tone instead of pulse. But, she's probably impossible to convince.

eh ... yeah my parents are too cheap to get touch tone. I have touch tone on my cell (of course). But i think it's at the stages of having the phone company investigating

....if it is a girl or whatever I can't wait to see what my dad says to them on the phone when we get the number. LOL he is pissed.
