WTF?? Steam ain't workin

Assuming Steam uses secure authentication, it could be the big Verisign SNAFU with their expired root ceritifcate that has Norton AV messed up for most people (see Software forum).
 
well Steam's friends thing has been messed for a while now....like a couple days. Bleh...guess the whole thing just broke lol.

 
steam is down till tomorrow at the earliest.

It crashed during many of the preseason cal matches, Frank Nuccio, the head of CAL is quite upset at valve with the whole thing, even www.steampowered.com is down.
 
the large amounts of users connecting to their servers crashed them. they said steam will probably be down for a few days. check #steampowered on gamesnet for updates, or even more convenient, you can check frequently on www.gotfrag.com
