It looks similiar. I didn't actually see a thread with that pic but I did find this one which has a video. This is a repost I guess.

perhaps the thread was moved or deleted. it was something about "how could bush send our troops to iraq with these" and had pictures of big spiders in the sand or something. i just glanced at the thread. this isn't really a repost.
 
It's not really a spider. It belongs to a group of arachnids called wind scorpions, which are not actually scorpions. They belong to the order Solifugae. Spiders belong to the order Araneae. Scorpions belong to the order Scorpiones.

Yeah, but from their point of view we must be pretty freaking gross ourselves. We have a lot of soft mushy parts are on the outside, and we don't even have the DECENCY to cover ourselves with a nice exoskeleton.

Those things are wicked small. Keep in mind that the leg in the background is two-threet feet away and that the spider/scorpion/whatever bug is right up near the lens. one of them is only 4-5 inches long or so (look at the hand in the upper right).


*edit* measures changed after seeing pic again. from 4-5 feet and 2-3 inches.
