So im looking around for a new music player, and one of my must haves is a long battery life, but everywhere i search all i see are 10,12,14 hour battery lifes. Sony has one that is 50 hours, and Cowon has the M3L at 50 hours as well. but thats it!!!

i remember my old Sony MiniDisc player had a 60 hour battery life with just the rechargeable. uggg.

edit:
i WOULD get the sony, but i know it uses sonicstage to transfer files, and i can't stand that program.

you are correct about the battery life. My touch give me a 8-24 hr battery life.

its on the fritz(N910), and the new one i bought to replace it (R910) had only a roughly 14 hour battery life...which is when i discovered how much i loved the old MD player...sigh

so what? just recharge it every night before you go to bed. that's what I do with my cell phone. I don't see any reason to be using an mp3 player for more than 8 hours in one day.

They should make ones with over 100 hours of battery life. That would be sweet.
Also, Shawn, some people are lazy. It requires both effort and remembering to plug it in every day. Two things that many of us prefer to avoid whenever possible.

I don't really see what the big deal is. My cell phone charger is right next to my bed. I put it on the charger before I go to bed and I take it off the charger before I leave for class.

they just did recently. but you tell me how else im supposed to transfer files now then...

and shawn...its not about being lazy...but sometimes you forget to charge it, and maybe i'm spoiled by my old players that didn't need to be recharged for over 2 weeks.
