Yet memory never really was that expensive.

If this is about DDR SDRAM, then yes, there were huge price jumps at times. It would vary as much as $50 per stick in some cases.

When I got started, 16 Megs of memory was $400. Cheap?

Yeah, let's talk about the early 90s, as if it has ANYTHING to do with this case, which focused on 1999-2002 specifically.

ya, other memory companies paid similar fines.

as if the family owned busines can't get any worse, it did when they're under investigation from the Korean gov't for bribing i think? And their youngest daughter commited suicide.

Fishy that they covered up the story by saying she got into a car accident, then korean newspaper journalists thought it was wierd, and investigated, and found that she commited suicide; which is basically pretty shameful amongst us Koreans.

I heard her parents didn't even attend her funeral.

So when can we expect the class action lawsuit against the memory manufacturers that will pay us $5 per stick of memory, assuming we have any receipts at this point, while paying the scumbag lawyers $50 million apiece for their "hard work"?

I mean, I keep receipts for things longer than most people (my wife hates it), but even I don't keep things around that long after I dump the products. I certainly don't have any PC100 or PC133 memory lying around these days.
