Actually RAM prices have started falling here lately.

You're certain it is the same memory? The link is to PC4000/DDR500 RAM.

I would guess price mistake if 512MB of PC4000 cost 102??? I could be wrong though.

Wow that is a huge change. Thats like a 50% increase.

It better not be a sign that RAM is going back on the rise.

Yes, it was $102. Then it went up to $105,107, 108, 110, 125, and now $145. I bought 256mb of this chip for $55 and was planning to pickup another when they raised to $58 and then now $68.

That Adata 512mb PC4000 at Newegg was a steal under $110 but now it's priced like all other PC4000. At this price I rather get Komusa Adata PC4200. Most Komusa Adata PC4200 seems to hit near 295 FSB and is cheaper now than Newegg Adata PC4000.

RAM prices are holding steady at the local shops here in Toronto. If anything they have been coming down the past month.

Yes, I've also noticed nice decrease in price in the past month or so. This Adata PC4000 at Newegg being the exception. But I think it was more the case of it being too cheap compared with other PC4000 brands.

Thanks for the enlightening addition to this thread... That ADATA ram is good stuff. The PC-4000 stuff can reach speeds of 275.

I would think there would be more demand keeping kids OUT of the network who shouldn't be in than helping kids get in...
