Uh, ok idiots, but I paid for the postage in front of them! I got a priority package. I gave it to the ass clown at the counter and they charged me after weighing it, back on Monday, and now on Friday I have something saying that postage was inadequate.

This has happened to me once or twice in the past. Nothing like trying to explain to someone that you sold an item to on the FS/T forum that their item was shipped back because of "inadequate" postage.

Like you, I had paid for the postage in front of them as well.

Damned USPS.

So are you going to go back to the post office & complain? I think you have a legit complaint.

So will the person at USPS be able to realize that it was their fault and give me a refund on the other stuff? This was CRITICAL f**king stuff I sent. It's good that I had proof of mailing, so that I can send that along with the second bunch to prove that I sent it out on time.

I got a package back once that I shipped Priority mail. WAs it for postage? Nope. It was because they sent it to the Return address. There wasn't one of those stanps that said "return to sender" or anything. I took it back to the post office, and they could not explain it. They said they would ship it for free. So I put that box inside another box with a new label, then shipped it again. That way the guy I was sending it to understood why it took so damn long for him to get the MO :p

when you paid for it, did you get a reciept? that and the meter stamp should be proof enough.
all meter stamps are coded to a specific meter base that puts the post mark on the piece.
the stamp will show that the post office that you took your package to was the one who put the postage on the piece.

The receipt is in a trash pile somewhere in Alabama. I have the proof of mailing (paid like $.90 for it), and the original package with the metered info on it. However, I will be bringing this to another post office and not the original one, since I brought it to the one at work and wont' be near work tomorrow.
