I just bought 2 new DVDs, Antitrust and O brother where art thou. It's a slot loading 6x SCSI Pioneer, it sucks in the disc spins it for a second and spits it back out. All my other DVDs work np, both of these new ones do not. Anyone else seen this before?

Could possibly be the region on the DVDs...

If it is not that than I don't have any idea what it could be.

TopGun, what OS are you using? I have that same drive and I am having the same problems with my DVD's. It doesn't seem to be playing any DVDs in Win XP. I can play audio CD's ok but no DVD's. I have the drive on a Adaptec AVA-2902I SCSI card. I figure it might be the SCSI card since its not on the XP compatibility list, but it seems to be working with my CD-Burner and play audio CDs.

I also seem to be having problems with my Pioneer slot drive (106s IDE). I used to play DVDs fine, but now it's getting sensitive to scratches and the discs that don't have any scratches will still skip and the movie will stop. It's really annoying...Good luck on your problem guys, and I hope that we can all get it fixed. :)
