I was in Phoenix last month and had a rental car for the week. I open the mail to find two speeding tickets issued at one minute apart. What a revenue generating scheme that is.

Haha! Got the same photo enforced speed violation last February on the way to visit a family friend in Phoenix.

Friends cautioned me to slow down when I saw SUVs parked on the side but never told me that there are permanently placed photo enforced speed trap near the Arizona Cardinal Stadium... Loop 101.

Having driven for more than 4 hours fm Cali with at least 75 MPH as the posted limit...65 MPH in the city proper felt strange with my leaded foot.:) Citation says I was travelling at least 11 MPH above authorize speed.

The irony is, we used wifey's car so the ticket was sent to her with the photo of me driving...wanted to just trash it but the wife forced me to snitch my self and promised to pay the fine, which hopefully is still $157.

Still waiting for the actual ticket under my name.

Pressure mounts to end speed cams Arizona...I hope so, felt angry the first month I got the photo citation because I forgot to smile when the flash lighted up.

Ahh.. These threads always inspire the self righteous to come out in droves. Like they've never gone over the speed limit.

i go over the speed limit on occasion, but i dont cry when i get nabbed by our "wonderful" traffic cams here in phx. there are some areas that just dont make sense. like westbound from gilbert to mesa drive you have 2 cameras a mile apart, but only one other camera at alma school for the length of the freeway. eastbound has zero cameras. that makes a lot of sense.

pay the ticket or fight them, i dont care. just dont bitch because you got caught breaking the law.

None of the fines are $25 or even $50.
The fee was probably an admin fee for the car rental company. You will then likely get the real tickets in the mail for >$150, which you can promptly disregard, as they aren't going to send a process server after you.

Just make sure you don't visit the website on the ticket where it says view your citation or whatever, as the court decided that doing so validates the service.

...or if you happen to make a mistake, which do of course happen, then just pay the god damned fine.
Hate to say it, but this kinda sounds like a very controversial quote that a member of parliament made : "If women can't stop rape, maybe they should just lay down an enjoy it"
