So yesterday I went to buy a cheap bluetooth headset off ebay. And when I bought it I checked ebay also to see where the stuff was I thought I bought for my son, on the 1st was at, and saw everything I bought wasnt there. So I was freaked out a bit. I paid that day with my debit card, because I had my paypal account hacked, and there was $900+ in it that wasnt mine, and coundnt check out using paypal, for it would of used that money, so debit card it was.

So I checked my trash folder, and saw the email I got on the first I got, and it said that they couldnt process my debit card for the items I picked out. Normally when I check out I just go into my mail and just delete anything from ebay, mostly without reading it, for its just telling me I bought shit, this time was once in a billion times Ive bought off there. But anyway I decided to check my bank for now I didnt have the money to buy the stuff all over again. BUT to my surprise FUCKING PAYPAL, though I got the email from ebay saying they couldnt charge my debit card, PAYPAY TOOK MY DAMN MONEY FROM ME ANYWAY!@!!!!!!! To make matters worse, took my money and gave it to all the sellers I was to buy from, that I didnt get anything from that didnt show up in ebay, that I even bought anything from them!!! WTMF!!!!

So I called paypal. I was to buy 5 items, 2 of the 5 items the buyers were so far nice enough to give the money back, but so far 3 of them have not. And then the bitch on the phone told me if they dont, I HAVE TO MAKE A CLAIM. WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO MAKE A CLAIM AND WAIT???? YOU TOOK MY MONEY (PAYPAL), YOU (PAYPAL)gave it to people who didnt deserve it, or ever sold any goods to get it, or have proof of selling goods to me to get it, there is NO PAPER trail. So why am I the one having to wait, let alone having to make a claim, its YOUR FUCK UP!!!! If anything, you (paypal) give me my money back NOW, and YOU (paypal) wait for it.

Anyway, rant over, Im just so pissed......

This is confusing as shit, nothing makes any sense...

* So you bought more than one item? and not all of were listed under purchase history anymore? (Highly doubt it, its impossible for something to disappear from purchase history once you win a bid or commit to buy)
* Your paypal account was hacked so you did not pay with paypal? but for ebay that's the only way to pay... and you dont *have* to use paypay balance, you can always change payment type. AND just because you have someone else's money in your account does not mean that your account was hacked.

* why do you want your money back from all 5? it tells me you are having buyers remorse and want to back out? all the rest is bull shit?

On the 27th of NOVEMBER my paypal was hacked and some ass hat went and started buying gamestop gift cards. My bank reversed the charges and when they did paypal put the money into my account, making my account 900+ in the green, so I couldnt check out using paypal or they would of used paypal balance which was not my money to use. And yes I did buy more then one item, I bought 5, ON THE 1st of DECEMBER and checked out using my debit card in the end, BUT, I got a email from ebay saying they couldnt charge my card and because so I DIDNT WIN ANY of the items through ebay, so NO they wouldnt be in ebay. BUT paypal, went and charged my card anyway, and they money came out of my bank and they sent the money to the buyers anyway.

Im not having buyers remorse for how can I when ebay said they couldnt charge my card, and didnt let me win anything. The point of the fact here is, ebay said I didnt win anything, they emailed me and told ME they couldnt charge my card, to use a different source, I didnt get anything, its the fact that that happened, BUT PAYPAL TOOK MY MONEY OFF MY CARD ANYWAY, TOOK IT OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT AND GAVE IT TO THE BUYERS, EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT WIN SHIT!!!!!!!!!

So where is the bull shit at????? Would you like a screen shot of my bank account of the charges taken out and the sellers that got paid, and my ebay where there is NOTHING IN IT THAT WAS PURCHASED FOR THEM TO HAVE GOTTEN PAID WITH MY MONEY????

OK so if I understand this correctly - you add 5 items to the cart, checkout with immediate payment. Then ebay decides that your payment didnt go though so they cancel your sale resulting in nothing in your purchase history. meanwhile Paypal process the payment without any issues and sends money to the seller. Am I correct?

But what I do not understand is, if you did not use PayPal because it was hacked then how did you pay for the sale? What was the method of payment that didn't go though? Some type of direct pay though ebay? no PayPal involved at all?
If so then how did paypal pay the 5 sellers if you didn't use paypal? is that the problem? even if you didn't use PayPal at all, some how a voice told them about the sale and they decided to pay?

Dude why you so hell bent on trying to call me out. On the 27th I was hacked, I called paypal, got it all sorted out, I mentioned it only as to why I couldnt use paypal and had to use my debt card and why ebay said they couldnt process my card and why they cancelled my bids on all the items. They never closed my paypal, they just reversed they charges made on the 27th and kept it open, and I had a positive balance in my account ove over 900 bucks that was not mine and why I couldnt use paypal to check out with for they would of used what was in my balance to pay for my shit, it would of been money that was not mine. I WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING BY NOT USING THAT MONEY AND HAD TO USE MY DEBIT CARD TO PAY FOR THE STUFF I WANTED TO GET MY KID.....

Then Ebay sends me a email saying they couldnt not process my credit card and I didnt win any of the stuff I wanted, BUT, PAYPAL went and charged my card anyway, took it from my bank account, and sent it to all the sellers that I was supposed to buy from but ebay said I didnt win from because THEY (EBAY) said they couldnt prosess my debit card, therefore I didnt win shit, buy shit, get shit, or am getting shit, but paypay took my money and sent it to them anyway.

Youre so hell bent on trying to make me out to be a lier and some sort of thief, your missing my point all together here. I can be hacked, and still keep my account open and not closed, for I cought the person hacking my paypal almost the verymoment he/she was doing it and called paypal and ebay right away and they put a stop to them almost imediatly, and blocked their ip address, and reversed all the transactions they did, but by doing so, on the 1st of December when I was trying to buy my son Christmas Gifts it put me positive in my balance, and I had no choice but to use my debit card, DO YOU UNDERSTAND YET, or you still trying to make me out to be a thief of some sorts??? I could of been a thief and said fuck it and used what was in my balance that wasnt mine to pay for his Christmas gifts BUT I DIDNT, and paypal turned out to be the thief instead :p

Ebay claims they and paypal are seperate and you can pay with paypal, or a credit or debit card on ebay, but even if you paywith a credit or debit card on ebay, paypal still processes your credit and debit cards....I found this out the hard way.

Maybe in my first post I was trying to call you out, but not really, in my second post, not at all. I am just frustrated with the lack of clarity... maybe I am the dumb one... I am still not able to understand two simple interrelated fact.

How did you pay for the item? you did not use the paypal account connected with the ebay account? you used a different mode of payment? like ebay charge your debit card directly? NO PAYPAL INVOLVED AT ALL WHATSOEVER?

I may have to, but I dont see why I do. Its not my fault for ebay said they couldnt process my card, but paypal somehow was able to anyway, took my money, and paid they sellers anyway, and I got nothing to show for it, so why must I do a claim. Why isnt paypal, just giving me my money back, and them going after the sellers themselves and waiting for the money to return for its their mess up? Why am I being punished for all this???

ebay doesnt charge your card directly, they still use paypal to do it, thats the thing, though ebay said they couldnt charge it, that means paypal came back and told them (Ebay) they couldnt do it, and why I got a email from ebay telling me the transaction couldnt go through. BUT PAYPAL, went ahead anyway and charged the card, took the money from my account, and then paid the sellers, though, I didnt get anything from ebay, because paypal told them, they couldnt charge my card in the first place, but did, so Im out of gifts, and out of money, and Im being told I may have to file a claim on 3 of the 5 sellers for it looks like they are not wanting to refund my money back, that paypal just willy nilly sent them for no reason at all.

So even if you pay Ebay at check out with a credit or debit card, paypal is involved, they will process your credit card if you have an account with them or not. At least thats what Ebay told me when I called them about this as well.

Seriously, the answer is because you used a debit card. The law is pretty clear on this: with a debit card, if there is any problem you are out of the money until you win it back. With a credit card, by law, you keep your money until the other guys prove that they deserve it.

Never, ever use a debit card for a purchase if you can't spare to lose that money for months at a time.

Ah, now I get it... I was confused because you said you did not use paypal as it was hacked. But enough said, I dont want to drag it anymore... From what I understand now it is truly troubling... As its a back account, recovering money will be a bitch... good luck.

I deal with ebay/paypal a lot, but I am very cautious, I only deal with credit cards.

But how does paypal telling ebay they cannot charge my card and pay the sellers, making me lose the buy it nows and not getting anything, but then, goes ahead, and charges the card anyway and pays the sellers, my fault, just because I used my card?

You have far more patience than I. After a couple read throughs of his post I gave up.

OP, seriously.

#1 There is no reason to have the word "AND" repeated 10 times in one sentence.
#2 One sentence, one idea. One subject, one verb, maybe a prepositional phrase or two.

You need to write more clearly if you want people to read it. It's painful trying to walk through whatever the heck it is that you're trying to communicate. It's like someone put it in a dryer and turned on spin cycle.

That, too.

Never use a debit card online.

Never.

Ever.

Consider never using a debit card at all.

No matter what they tell you about how well you are protected...it's your own actual money.

Never.
