wtf, my surge protector is making noise

is it because it's hot? because SoCal is having power problems? wtf! it's not really loud but I can hear it over my system's fans.

have you ever heard of such a thing?

i think it did make a noise last time it has a thunder storm. never had such a problem before (living in NYC). my computer restarted and it looked like my video card was fried. i shut it down and waited and then everything was alright. it was a simple $30 surge thing too.

OP, it probably be a good idea to replace that surge protector, and check out your electrical outlet for problems.
