Ok, so.
I went to play 40 Year Old Virgin (with 4 other people waiting) and there is no sound. I tried doing everything to fix it including:
Checking connections
Looking for hardware issue in control panel
Checking the driver
Updating the driver
After that, I got a set of normal headphones and plugged them directly to the back of the computer. They worked. I took headphones and plugged them into the headphone jack on the front of the Klipsch box ... it didn't work. The headphone port bypasses more things.
Also, the center, sub, left, right, front, back ... nothing works. So that (to me) rules out the actual wires being bad. So, wtf is it?
By the way, I didn't change anything from a couple of days ago (worked) to now (doesn't work). The only thing I can think of is a main fuse going bad.
