I've never heard of this. What's all the fuss about anyway?
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Target's(TGT_) Web site is down this morning, as consumers race to get its limited-edition Missoni line.
"We are suddenly extremely popular. You may not be able to access our site momentarily due to unusually high traffic. Please stay here and we'll try to get you in as soon as we can!" the Web site posted as of 11:15 a.m. EDT.
Target also apologized to shoppers via Twitter: "We understand your frustrations. We've reached out to the appropriate teams and they're working to get it fixed."
The highly-anticipated Missoni collection launched this morning both in stores and online. The collection includes 400 items that feature the brand's signature zip-zag stripes. Most items are under $40 and include knit dresses, tights, cardigans, rain boots, bedding, luggage, dinner ware, iPad and iPod covers.
Last week, Target's pop-up store in New York witnessed massive lines and was forced to shut down early after running out of merchandise.
