My friend spotted this car the other night out of the corner of his eye when we were driving through a shadier part of our town...

WTF IS THIS THING?!?! All it says is "917" on the back. We're used to seeing beat up chevys and cadillacs in this part of town, and out of nowhere this thing shows up...:Q

Wasn't 917 one of the famous Porsche race cars? If so this is a poor attempt to copy one perhaps.

This is defintely a homebrew, but they did use the stock frame from some car.

looks like an old vw bug based kit car,very popular in the early/mid 70's;

as were the Far-out metallic paint jobs. ;) Groovy, Kool man :)

It is a VW Beetle based kit car called the Laser or something like that. There was a similar car used in the movie Death Race 2000

Bradly. VW based kit.

My brother had one in the mid 80's. Was pretty cool then, his was yellow.

Edit: I thought it was a Coyote, good catch below. It's not. But since I liked the Coyote the rest I'm leaving

This is a kit car, but it's definitely lacking something. That paint job belongs on a bass-boat.
