WTF? KFC not real chicken?

Some girl told me today that KFC uses some kinda chicken hybrid with no head? So now they can't advertise as "Kentucky Fried CHICKEN", it has to be KFC. ???

Oh please....

lol, ok the girl who told me was a moron. Her sister was sitting next to me, and had just written "I'm not wearing panties" on my palm pilot, so I was a little distracted.😱

I think the quit using the "Kentucky Fried Chicken" name because the word FRIED is no longer desirable or politically correct or some BS

I'll tell you what...if anyone's chicken isn't real, it's gotta be Boston Market. I always have an "undesireable reaction" to that oh so delicious stuff

They changed it because of marketing. they wanted to get away from the fried food image. They wanted people to think it was "healthy".

lol Are you sure she's not the only moron? 😉

yup🙂

It had nothing to do with the word Fried. Kentucky state (I think state) demanded that royalties be paid for using the name Kentucky. KFC gave them a big f*** you and changed the name 🙂 Same reason it's no longer called the Kentucky Derby. They were wanting royalties/license fees for the use of the name (which was trademarked or something like that).

Whoa boy, you get you facts off mens rooms walls don't you? They changed it to KFC because it's easier to say, it was purely a marketing decision. Of course there is always the issue that KFC originated in Utah.

...Also the reason we call it incest instead of Kentucky Marriage Consummation.

KFC told the public that it was for a design change, better name, etc. I'll try to find where it was. In one of my text books around here somewhere, there was a case study on the industry.

And although those of us with a brain jest I'm sure they looked into the repercussions of their actions with that change. Thus we can conclude that in fact some people do believe it sounds healthier by the name KFC.
